Principal's Letter,    

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

It is with excitement and great anticipation of an amazing year that I welcome you to Green Canyon High School for the 25-26 school year! I hope you are having a relaxing and enjoyable summer filled with family time, fun activities, and everything you need to be refreshed for another school year. 

Whether you are returning for another fantastic year, or you are new to Green Canyon, you are in for a special school year! The bar at Green Canyon High School has been set high academically, in teams, clubs, performing arts, organizations, and activities, and with a school culture that is second to none! I invite you to be proactive in becoming a part of the Green Canyon High School Wolf Pack from day one. Get curious! Explore! Try something new! Make your high school experience amazing by taking advantage of them all, either as a participant or spectator. Regardless of your interests, the more quickly you become involved, the more you’ll enjoy being a Wolf!

Dates to Remember

• August 7th & 8th,  9:00 - 11:00 New Student Registration 
• August 8th, 5:00-9:00 pm, Athletic Kick-off Night
• August 12, Senior Registration, 9-1:00 pm 
• August 13, Junior Registration, 9-1:00 pm 
• August 14th, Sophomore Registration, 9-1:00 pm 
• August 14th, 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Student Make-up Registration 10th - 12th grade only
• August 15th, Freshmen Registration, 9-1:00 pm 
• August 19th - Wolf-pack Academy, 8-1:30 PM (for freshmen only, regular bus routes, and lunch will be served)
• August 20th - The first day that school is attended by ALL students
• Monday, September 1st - Labor Day Holiday

Please note the following:

• School begins each day at 8:00 am and ends at 2:45 Monday through Thursday. School ends at 1:30 pm on Fridays. 
• Class schedules are subject to change based on enrollment balance up until August 8^th. No schedule changes will take place during school on the first day of any trimester.  Please attend the classes that are listed on your schedule. If you need to change a class see your counselor after school or on the 2nd or 3rd day of school.  Schedule changes will not happen after the 3rd day of school.

• Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, general fees may no longer be charged by schools in Utah. As a result, the following fees are no longer part of the approved fee schedule and will not be charged by schools:
  • Activity Fee - $55
  • Lab Fee - $25
  • Postage Fee - $5
• The following fees will still be charged:
  • Class Fees - will be charged at the beginning of each trimester according to the approved fee schedule. 
  • Graduation Fees $35.00 (Seniors Only)
• Optional Fees 
  • Yearbooks $48.00 - can be paid online anytime at https://schoolcashonline.com/
  • Lockers $5
• Registration, including locker assignments, will take place on the above listed registration dates.  All pictures will be taken for activity cards as well as school/yearbook pictures.  PICTURE DAY ATTIRE MUST FOLLOW THE SCHOOL DRESS CODE—NO HATS, HEADBANDS, OR OTHER HEAD COVERINGS (UNLESS FOR RELIGIOUS REASONS), NO NON-PRESCRIPTION GLASSES, AND NO CLOTHING WITH DRUG, ALCOHOL, OR OTHER INAPPROPRIATE IMAGES—AS THESE PHOTOS WILL BE USED FOR OFFICIAL STUDENT ID CARDS.
• Lunch money will be taken in the main office during registration. Please make checks out for the amount of purchase only.   Free/reduced lunch forms are available online or in the main office. No credit cards are accepted for lunch payments. 
• The principal of each school has been designated as the school level administrator of fees and fee waivers for those who qualify.  Families requesting fee waivers will be asked to provide proof of income by submitting last year’s tax return.  
• No student will be denied the opportunity to participate in a class or school sponsored/supported event because of inability to pay. 
• Under Utah State Law, schools must allow students to carry and use their asthma inhalers while at school. Those who use inhalers while at school must fill out an asthma self-administration form. This must be submitted on–line through PowerSchool/CareDox.
