By the Spring of 2026, Green Canyon High School students, ELL students, and Students with Disabilities will show a measurable increase in their English/Language Arts, Math, and Science that are tested by ACT and Aspire. This includes an increase in our composite score with our 2025 Junior class from a 21.5 to a 21.7..

Measurements:

We will use the data provided by ACT & Aspire + to measure our English/Language Arts, Math, and Science scores from Spring of 2025 compared to ACT composite scores (English/Language Arts, Math, and Science) that are tested in 2026. Data will show the increase in Aspire + testing from the previous year.

Action Plan:

 

1.  Compensation for Staff : $13,000 (100 and 200)

         * Department Leadership Team

         * ELL Team (Phlote analysis, Screening students, Ellevation, Parent communication, Student scheduling, EL parent meetings).

2.  Provide 2 FTE to lower core class sizes: $180,015.60 (100 and 200)

3.  Hire EL aides: $20,000 (100 and 200)

4.  Hire a Data and Testing coordinator. Duties include assisting our Tier 1 at-risk students, providing data to teachers and administration about attendance and academic needs. This individual will also conduct surveys and administer tests: $18,000 (100 and 200)

5.  ELL Field Trip Travel: $500 (5100)

6.  ELL Field trip registration for students/admissions: $500 (6100)

7.  Supplies for ELL parent meetings for advertisements, etc.: $1000 (6100)

8. Teacher PLC (12 hours/teacher x 80 teachers x $32/hr) for curriculum design, assessment and instructional improvement: $37,928.89 (100 and 200)
