Green Canyon Community Council Meeting

Location: Conference room, 7:00 am
Attendees: Ruth Seedall,Teri Rhodes (school board), Wyatt McDaniel, Mike Isaacson, Jim Crosbie, Matt Fuller, Camille Bell, Ruthie Hamilton, Deedra Hinds
- Review and vote on 2025-2026 Community Council positions:
- Shannon Walker is not returning, all other members should still be on the council
- President: Matt nominated Ruth, Wyatt seconded, all approved
- Vice President: Matt nominated Ruthie, Ruth seconded, all approved
- Secretary: Ruth nominated Camille, Matt seconded, all approved
- Minutes/Welcome-Ruth Seedall move approve the minutes, Matt Fuller seconded it
Trustlands budget review:
Most of our funds go to salaries and benefits for teachers to reduce class sizes. A question was raised- do the teachers know what Trust Land funds are? Terri summed it up by saying state funds are for the bare basics, Trust Land money is for “innovation and intervention we could not otherwise do.”
Counseling update:
HOWL is a new club at GC this year through the counseling office standing for Help Others Win Life
Jim will verify we have enough parents on the council
